MBBS BSc MSc FRCS (Plast)
Since qualifying from St George’s Hospital Medical School in London, I spent my basic surgical training years across surgical units around the UK. I travelled to wherever I believed the training was best and have trained with many of the most highly regarded plastic surgeons in the country. I completed my plastic surgery training in London and am a fully qualified Plastic Surgeon and recognised with FRCS (Plast). This is a surgical qualification only achieved after years of training and completion of specialist examinations in plastic surgery and is required to be a Plastic Surgery Consultant in the NHS. I am also on the Specialist Register for Plastic Surgery, a standard that all patients should look for in their surgeon when undergoing plastic surgery.
I have always wanted to become a plastic surgeon, ever since I first saw the incredible results they were able to achieve. The ability to use the most advanced surgical techniques in order to help treat my patients and operate with the highest degree of precision and accuracy is what I enjoy the most.
I am often the first one in and the last one to leave at work and give all my patients the time and dedication they deserve. I am a perfectionist by nature, which serves me well in what I do and only want you to have the same care I would give to my own family members.
Working at The GP Surgery has allowed me to give the time needed to those I see without the pressures of working in an NHS environment. I will always be honest and open about what can be achieved and how best to be treated and will only want you to have the highest quality care.
I qualified in 2006, obtaining my MBBS as well as a BSc in Biochemistry and Immunology, awarded with honours. I went on to complete my MRCS examinations to obtain membership of the Royal College of Surgeons of England. I subsequently went on to formally complete a full-time Masters degree in Surgical Science, awarded with Distinction by Imperial College London for my work on Microsurgical Training. I have gone on to obtain my FRCS (plast) qualification and fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons of England.
I have published many original articles in medical literature as well as authoring and contributing to book chapters and have a strong interest in surgical education. I am the current Chairman of SETPRAS (Society for Education and Training in Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery) and have been since 2011. I have also presented numerous times both nationally and internationally, including at the Association of Breast Surgery (ABS) Annual General Meeting, the British Society for Surgery of the Hand (BSSH) and the British Association of Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgeons (BAPRAS) scientific meetings.
