My career in practice nursing began in 1997 and I still love the role just as much today!
After qualifying from UCH and The Middlesex Hospital in 1992, I spent a year working as an agency nurse in many different London hospitals covering a variety of specialties such as A&E, gynecology, orthopedics and paediatrics. This was followed by 2 years in Australia working as a staff nurse on a vascular surgical ward. On my return to the UK, I felt I had sufficient experience to make the change into primary care.
For the past 15 years I have worked at an NHS practice in Kingston and have a particular interest in women’s health, travel health, sexual health and wound care.
Outside work, I am a keen runner and can often be seen whizzing around town on my Vespa.
