I have worked as a GP in South West London since 2011 and am experienced in all areas of General Practice. I have particular skills and expertise in Womens Health and Family Planning. I hold a Diploma from the Faculty of Sexual and Reproductive Health and am experienced in counselling women about their choice of contraceptive and how to identify and manage potential problems. I also insert and remove Contraceptive Implants and Coils (both Copper and Hormonal), although I do not provide this service at the GP Surgery currently.
I work hard to stay up to date with current best practice and strive to offer my patients the best possible care, giving them the knowledge and guidance to make informed decisions about their health.
After graduating from Imperial College London, I worked in Hospital Medicine in a number of London hospitals. During this time, I studied to become a Member of the Royal College of Physicians. This has given me a strong background in hospital medicine and the diagnosis and management of a broad range of both acute and chronic medical conditions.
In 2007, I left Hospital Medicine to pursue my career in General Practice. During my GP Training I was able to expand my experience and knowledge even further, including working in Paediatric A&E. The combination of my Paediatric training and personal experience as a parent means that I feel particularly confident about being able to treat new mothers and sick children with knowledge and empathy.
I have two children and help to run a Community Choir, as well as enjoying playing Tennis.
I am particularly interested in Teaching and Medical Education, and am currently completing a Postgraduate Certificate in Education at St Georges University London.
